Erin Chion donated a trophy to the Lake Hughes Association in 1975.

There are four races each year. All races are open to everyone and any sailboat. Each class of sailboat is given a handy cap. Points are awarded to the sailors with fastest net times.

As of 2003 two trophies are awarded each year. One for Laser class boats and one for Sunfish/other class boats. Prior to 2003 only one trophy was awarded. It went to the lowest time after handicap

The Cameron's donated a trophy to the Lake Hughes Association in 2002.
